From Soybean Dregs to Liquid Fertilizer – Customized Production Line from Lane

2-28 2025

As a manufacturer specializing in the design and manufacture of liquid fertilizer production lines, we are always committed to providing customized solutions for our customers. Recently, we received an inquiry from a customer from Southeast Asia, who wanted to build a liquid fertilizer production line using soybean dregs as raw material by taking advantage of the abundant soybean dregs resources in the region. The following is our detailed experience in serving this customer.

The first stage: customer consultation and demand analysis

The customer initially contacted us by email with a brief description of their needs: they are an agricultural company based in Vietnam with a large resource of soybean residue, which they would like to convert into a high value-added liquid fertilizer for local rice and vegetable cultivation. The customer had clear requirements for the production line’s capacity, environmental friendliness and cost control.

We quickly arranged an online meeting to communicate with the customer in depth. The customer raised several key questions:

1. How feasible is soybean residue as a raw material?

2. Can the production line’s capacity reach 10 tons per day?

3. How to ensure environmental protection in the production process?

4. How about the energy consumption and maintenance cost of the equipment?

Our sales team participated in the meeting together with our technical team, answered the customer’s questions initially, and promised to provide a detailed technical proposal within a week.

Second stage: technical program design and feasibility testing

After communicating with the customer, our team of engineers started to design the technical program. Soybean dregs, as a kind of high-protein and high-fiber organic waste, needs to be converted into liquid fertilizer through fermentation and enzymatic processes. We proposed the following process:

1. Pre-treatment stage: Soybean dregs are crushed and sieved to remove impurities.

2. Fermentation stage: specific bacteria are added and anaerobic fermentation is carried out in the fermentation tank.

3. Enzymatic stage: further decomposition of macromolecular substances through enzymatic reaction.

4. Blending stage: add nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients according to customers’ requirements.

5. Filtration and filling: remove the residue and get the pure liquid fertilizer.

In order to verify the feasibility of the program, we conducted a small-scale test in the factory using stainless steel fermentation tanks. The test results show that the soybean residue can be effectively converted into liquid fertilizer rich in organic matter after fermentation and enzymatic digestion, and the nutrient composition meets the customer’s requirements. We sent the test report to the customer and invited them to visit our factory.

The third stage: equipment customization and parameter confirmation

The customer was satisfied with our technical solution and decided to further promote the cooperation. According to the customer’s needs, we customized the following equipment for him:

Crusher: with a processing capacity of 1 ton per hour to ensure uniform crushing of soybean dregs.

Fermentation tank: with a volume of 10 cubic meters, equipped with temperature control system and stirring device.

Enzyme digestion tank: with a volume of 5 cubic meters, using corrosion-resistant materials.

Blending tank: equipped with automatic measuring system to ensure the precise addition of nutrients.

Filtration system: adopting multi-layer filtration to ensure the purity of liquid fertilizer.

Filling line: fully automatic filling with a capacity of 2 tons per hour.

During the process of equipment design, we kept close communication with the customer and confirmed every detail. For example, the customer especially emphasized the durability and easy maintenance of the equipment, so we chose stainless steel for the key components and provided a detailed maintenance manual.

The fourth stage: production, shipment and inspection

The production cycle of the equipment is two months. During this period, we regularly send production progress reports to our customers and invite them to view the equipment manufacturing via video link. After the equipment was completed, we conducted rigorous factory tests to ensure that each piece of equipment could operate properly.

Before shipment, we confirmed the logistics plan with the customer. Due to the large size of the equipment, we chose sea transportation and provided the customer with a detailed packing list and installation instructions. After the equipment arrived in Vietnam, the customer carried out a preliminary inspection according to our instructions and confirmed that the equipment was intact.

The fifth stage: Overseas installation and commissioning

After the arrival of the equipment, we dispatched two engineers to Vietnam for on-site installation and commissioning. The installation process lasted one week and mainly included the following steps:

1. Equipment positioning and fixing.

2. Piping connection and sealing test.

3. Electrical system installation and commissioning.

4. Trial operation and parameter adjustment.

During the commissioning process, we found that the temperature control system of the fermenter needed to be fine-tuned according to the local climate conditions. After several tests, the optimal operating condition was finally achieved. We also trained the customer’s operators to ensure that they could operate and maintain the equipment independently.

The sixth stage: project acceptance and follow-up support

After the production line was formally put into operation, the customer was very satisfied with the operation results. The output and quality of the liquid fertilizer reached the expected target, and the energy consumption and waste emission during the production process were controlled at a low level. The customer appreciated our professional services and expressed their intention to cooperate with us in the future.

We provided free technical support to the customer for one year, and regularly checked the operation status of the equipment through the remote monitoring system. Up to now, the production line is running stably, and the customer has started to sell liquid fertilizers to local farmers with good feedback from the market.

This liquid fertilizer production line using soybean dregs as raw material not only helps the customer to achieve efficient use of resources, but also supports the sustainable development of local agriculture.

As an equipment manufacturer, we are proud to be involved and create value for our customers.

In the future, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to providing our customers with better products and services and promoting the green development of global agriculture.
